To qualify for Gaming Surveillance Agent training you must meet certain qualifications to register.
REQUIREMENTS
- Are you at least 18 years of age? (No age Limit)
- Can you pass a Criminal Background Check & Drug Screen? (No Felonies No Exception this is the Law.)
- Do you have a Military or Law Enforcement or Investigative or Casino Security Exp?
- Applicants with Military, Law Enforcement, Police, EMT or Security backgrounds will be looked upon favorably
- Do you have a Valid Driver’s License?
- Do you have a High School Diploma or equivalent GED?
- Are you a US citizen or possess a valid work permit?
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license
NOTE: All Applicants must pass a Written Skills test, polygraph examine, drug screen, credit check (Debt cannot be over $3000.00. (School Loans & Hospital debt not applicable.) You must pass a General Physical.
If you meet the requirements above then you may register for the Gaming Surveillance Agent Training. Gaming Surveillance Agents are needed for Casinos around the United States. Training will be up to 16 weeks in most cases with on the job pay. Starting Pay is $43,000- $68.000 per year. These positions require travel. All travel expenses are paid and require a 30 day out and a 7-14 day off period that is paid. All applicants must register with the Federal Gaming Board and must complete State licensing depending on the State you will work in.
Some positions` are armed and some are unarmed, this will depend on the Casino. Armed Agents who carry weapons must be licensed by the appropriate government authority, and may receive further certification as special police officers, allowing you to make limited types of arrests while on duty.
There is a registration fee of $455.73 for the Gaming Surveillance Agent Training this includes taxes preparation manual, shipping & handling and taxes and is guaranteed refundable in writing if do not graduate the training or if you have a medical reason you cannot participate in the training or if you are called for military duty.
As a Gaming Surveillance Agents, also known as Surveillance Agents and Gaming Investigators you will provide security for casino managers and patrons. Use audio and video equipment in observation rooms, observe casino operations for irregular activities, such as cheating or theft, and monitor compliance to rules, regulations and laws. You will maintain and organize recordings from security cameras as they are sometimes used as evidence in police investigations. Gaming Surveillance Agents and gaming investigators must have keen observation skills and excellent verbal and writing abilities to document violations or suspicious behavior. You need to be physically fit and have quick reflexes because you will detain individuals until local law enforcement officials arrive.
Job Duties:
- Provides daily discreet observations of casino operations and non - gaming business operations to protect and safeguard tribal assets.
- Assist to investigate possible fraud and / or misconduct pertaining to casino assets.
- Will work 40 hours weekly, varying shifts and schedule.
- Videotape illegal and unusual activities.
- Detect cheating, theft, embezzlement, and other illegal activities in casino, count room, slot booths, cashier's cage.
- Assists in investigation of possible fraud.
- Complete logs, records and reports per departmental policy.
- Care for and store video tapes and VCR tape and logs.
- Secure and safeguard all tapes to be used as evidence.
- Properly copy incident tapes as authorized.
- Communicate with staff and management in a courteous, professional manner.
- Adhere to strict codes of confidentiality.
Technical Requirements:
- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.

- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.

Once you are registered you will have to satisfactorily pass a very extensive background check through NCIC before being considered for the Training. All applicants must undergo and satisfactorily complete this check. This includes but not limited to FBI check, drug test, fingerprint test, financial situation, credit check, and a Polygraph Test. Among other things, personal interviews, a check of all arrest records, and interviews of employers and personal references. Once you are registered we will put a packet in the mail to you. You will receive your packet within 7-14 business days after registration.

Once your packet arrives, enclosed will be your application & registration forms that you will have to fill out, have notarized (NOTE: Okay for JAG to notarize) and return to us for your Background Check.
We will ask for a copy of your DD-214, Police Post Certification, or College Diploma and any other relevant information to any special training that you may have.
Once your paperwork is received by our Personnel Division @ Advancement Solutions, LLC it will be processed within 6-8 weeks. Once your background check is complete and clear, the Agency that you have been accepted by for your training will contact you with additional information, i.e., Casino Location Start traning date and what you will need to bring for your training.
Casino Security / Gaming Agent Manual
Covers many topics related to protecting both the casino and the casino patrons. Topics include general responsibilities, conduct and performance, dress code, posts, lost and found, photography, evictions, firearms, package removal, solicitaion, radio procedures, security ten codes, phonetic alphabets, arrest procedures, use of metal detectors, surveillance notifications, daily shift responsibilities, card and dice control procedures, guest protection, emergency procecures, various emergency situations, fills and credits, identification, emotionally disturbed persons, reports and controls, incident filing, absentees, destruction of cards and dice, statements, and more. Includes forms needed for various in-house and official reports. Approximately 120 pages, spiralbound, 1996. This manual will arrive in a separate package shortly after your original registration packet.
